The first container block train from Finland to India is on its way
On June 3rd, Nurminen Logistics told in the press release that the first block train departs from Helsinki to India in the middle of June.
At this moment, the train is passing through Russia and, after that, Azerbaijan and Iran. The transit time from Helsinki, Finland, to Nhava Sheva, India, will be around 25 days, about half the time of going via the Suez Canal.
The Nurminen Logistics Indian train carries thirty-two 40-foot containers, loaded with the paper-based products of the company’s Swedish customer.
Nurminen Logistics is history’s first logistics operator who has sent block train from Europe to India via the Western wing of the International North-South Transport Corridor.
