In early June, Nurminen Logistics participated in the Transport Logistic 2025 exhibition, one of the most significant and largest events in the logistics industry. This year, the event attracted a record-breaking 2,722 exhibitors and over 77,000 visitors over four days.

Railport Scandinavia brought Nordic logistics operators together under one roof

Nurminen Logistics was part of the Railport Scandinavia stand organized by the Port of Gothenburg, where current and efficient Nordic logistics solutions were showcased to visitors.

The Port of Gothenburg is the largest port in Scandinavia, handling approximately 40 million tons of cargo annually. For many years now, the port has invested heavily in rail connections that link it to inland terminals across Sweden and Norway. These connections have formed a dense and strategically important network known as Railport Scandinavia.

Hundreds of discussions about connecting the Nordics to the global market

On the opening day of the exhibition, Marjut Linnajärvi, VP, International Rail Operations and Sales at Nurminen Logistics, took the stage with her presentation “Linking the Nordics to Global Markets by Rail in a Cost-Effective Way.”

“Our rail transport services in Sweden offer a cost-effective and reliable alternative, enabling Nordic companies to access global markets competitively,” Linnajärvi noted, highlighting the growing advantages of rail transport.

Nurminen Logistics’ Haparanda–Gothenburg train connection has, for over a year, provided a reliable and environmentally friendly transportation solution within Sweden and from there to the world. The route has attracted interest not only in the Nordics but also among European logistics operators: the scheduled connection between Gothenburg and Northern Sweden, combined with Nurminen’s extensive LCL (Less than Container Load) service network in Europe, makes it a competitive choice from both efficiency and sustainability perspectives.
