The Finnish Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Finncham Austria, organized an interesting event for its members in Vienna at the end of January in cooperation with Nurminen Logistics.

The event featured an up-to-date review by Marjut Linnajärvi, VP, Sales and Rail Operations at Nurminen, on the challenges that the current geopolitical situation, crises and tensions have caused to companies’ supply chains, and on the solutions offered by Nurminen Logistics for efficient and environmentally friendly international logistics in these changing situations.

Linnajärvi’s speech raised many excellent questions from the participants, and good discussions were held at the event on the significance of functional logistics in international trade. Nurminen’s unique way of developing completely new solutions for customers’ logistics needs was also very interesting for the participants.

“We here at Nurminen Logistics want to provide excellent service to our customers and develop our sales and subcontracting networks in Central Europe. To serve these purposes, we opened an office in Vienna, Austria, in September 2022. Soon after opening the office, we also started good cooperation with Finncham Austria,” says Linnajärvi.

Finncham Austria is a non-profit organization founded in 1969. The organization has an extensive network, and their members include both Finnish and Austrian companies and entrepreneurs. Among other things, the organization supports the development of business relations between Finland and Austria.

Marjut Linnajärvi: “I hope that the participants will after this event remember how many different opportunities and solutions there are in logistics to make efficient international trade. The discussions often brought up how challenges and crises the companies now face must be prepared for with a flexible and professional logistics partner. In a changing world, we must be able to create and develop new solutions.”
