Nurminen Logistics launches direct, scheduled rail service between Italy and Sweden
Nurminen Logistics has successfully launched its new direct service between Italy and Sweden – the first train departed from Parma on 24 February.
The departure was carried out smoothly, with representatives from Nurminen Logistics and partner LANZI TRASPORTI s.r.l. present at the terminal. This milestone highlights our strengthened cooperation and shared commitment to reliable, high-quality transport solutions.
Connecting Northern Italy’s key industrial region with the Nordic markets, this service provides a predictable and efficient rail corridor with lower emissions. Italy–Sweden connection further strengthens Nurminen Logistics’ Central European network and expands its intermodal offering between Continental Europe and the Nordics.
The first train from Sweden to Italy is scheduled to depart on 27 February. After that, the route will operate weekly in both directions – with departures on Tuesdays from Italy and on Fridays from Sweden – delivering a fast three‑day transit time.
